Biography

Danielle Smelter is a Melbourne-based photographer with an interest in the manifestation of psychological states in our everyday lives. Building upon moments of rupture and disconnect in our relationships and environment, her work is often self-referential with a strong focus on the human condition.

Danielle’s body of photographic work has been exhibited in The National Photography Prize at MAMAlbury, the Maggie Diaz Photography Prize for Women, the Photobook Melbourne Photo Award, and various group shows around Melbourne. She is currently undertaking a Master of Arts (Photography) through Photography Studies College.

Danielle also runs a creative studio offering services in arts writingphotography and web design.
