Danielle Smelter is a Melbourne-based visual artist working primarily with photography, video and performance. She is interested in the manifestation of psychological states in our everyday lives. Reflecting upon themes of disconnect and tension in relationships and urban environments, her work is often self-referential.
Danielle’s body of photographic work has been exhibited in The National Photography Prize at MAMAlbury, the Maggie Diaz Photography Prize for Women, the Photobook Melbourne Photo Award. She is currently undertaking a Master of Arts (Photography) through Photography Studies College.
